Well dev once said april 8th then he changed it to "the week of the 8th" so no one knows
So it will be "the month of the 8th". What is the problem to predict correct date to avoid these conversations and negative from people? If u dont know correct date - just say that, constant lie isnt the best way to get support

Because people will complain either way whether you meet the date or not ("It takes too long!!" or "Remove pledge, he didn't meet the date", etc) and that you don't know how renders will always turn out and whether you need post work/re-render.
You'll never get rid of the negativity completely. EDIT: *Points to post above* post is gone so let's say the negativity is still present here.
I'm not being negative but dev should just say something like mid/late said month not put up a deadline and almost never be able to meet it

Spoiler alert: Paying patrons to whatever various game they pledge to generally don't care if it arrives the first week or thrid week of a month(other than being anxious to play game, obviously) because they're gonna get charged the same either way.

I believe they expected it to arrive late last month, so they've been charged for a whole month where they received no content.
I'm sure most patrons don't care though. Devs should probably have thicker skin and allow their fans to vent, patrons or not.
