I was kind of hoping he wouldn't get hypnotized and be like, one person Becca could not have that kind of relationship with as kind of part of a bit of redemptive actions and all.

@Yuganb No reason why he still can't have that role, because in my series being hypnotized by a spiral on a screen isn't permanent, not the way the brainwashing booth is. This isn't turning Ian into a loyal slave, it will just compel him to stay the course and keep him motivated to rescue Becca.
